Meet Skylar
Skylar is an exceptionally small, bright, and playful puppy being personally trained by Dr. Iana Uvarova to become a Trained for Life™ Curated Companion™.
Skylar—Sky for short—has a personality that is:
confident but gentle,
affectionate and people-focused,
wonderfully playful,
and expressive—she is a little dog who likes to talk.
She is the kind of puppy who wants to be wherever you are, nestles perfectly into your lap, and brings a playful presence to everyday life.
Her training is built around everyday companion life:
calm household behavior and quiet settling,
Precision Leash™ on-leash training,
Invisible Leash™ off-leash training with an e-collar,
structured playpen routines,
potty training to a designated bathroom spot inside her playpen,
cooperative handling and the Full Access™ Position,
grooming and travel preparation,
and reliable behavior in dog-friendly public environments.
Veterinary checks, health documentation, full disclosure of findings, and hands-on owner training transfer are included before placement.
Skylar will go home after completing her full program and meeting the Trained for Life™ standard.
1. Acquired by Dr. Iana Uvarova
Skylar joined the program after her previous owner could no longer care for her following their father’s hospitalization.
2. Her Starting Point
Her grooming needed attention. She had no established training or potty routine and frequently whined and barked for attention.
3. Precision Leash™
Structured on-leash training develops loose-leash walking, heel, clear leash communication, and reliable responses around everyday distractions.
4. Invisible Leash™
Off-leash training develops reliable recall and responses at a distance, using an e-collar as an established communication tool.
5.Health Verification
Veterinary checks will be completed before placement. Findings and any identified health concerns will be disclosed to her future owner.
6.Complete Documentation
Available health records, care requirements, training details, and placement documentation will be reviewed with you before Skylar goes home.
7. Commands & Core Skills
Name recognition, Focus, Recall, Heel, automatic sit, Sit, Sit-Stay, Down, Down-Stay, Place, Leave It, and Free.
8. Home & Handling
Playpen and crate routines, a designated indoor bathroom spot, quiet settling, household boundaries, and cooperative handling for everyday care.
9. Public Environments
Preparation for dog-friendly cafés, shops, hotels, vehicles, and travel—walking with you, settling nearby, and remaining responsive around distractions.
10. Owner Training Transfer
Hands-on sessions with Dr. Iana Uvarova teach you Skylar’s commands, tools, and daily routines so you can maintain her training.
11. Early Reservation
Reserve early to request selected adjustments to household routines, crate or playpen preferences, and training emphasis for your lifestyle.
12. Full Program Completion
Skylar completes her full program regardless of reservation timing and goes home after meeting the Trained for Life™ standard.
